2 lb. round steak
1 cup bread crumbs
1 grated onion
8 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon chopped parsley
1 egg, beaten
2 cups water
salt and pepper
Cut steak into strips 4-1/2 x 2 inches. Score and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Combine bread crumbs, egg, onion,half of the butter, and seasonings to form a dressing. Spread dressing on each piece of meat, roll up and fasten with toothpick. Roll in flour and brown in remaining butter. Add 2 cups water and simmer 1-12/ hours. Remove toothpicks.
